The longer lever reduces the risk of hitting the brake lever imprecisely and slipping off it. That means a plus in operating safety, especially in tricky situations where it matters. The brake pedal extension replaces the standard lever. It is 85 mm long and therefore well over 20% longer than the standard 70 mm lever.
